Willy Chavarria Reimagines Xinú's FlordeMusgo Candle in Black Ceramic

Willy Chavarria has partnered with Mexico-based fragrance house Xinú on a limited-edition version of its FlordeMusgo candle, priced at $120 and launching Sunday. The designer’s take swaps the original white vessel for black ceramic and adds a custom medallion.

The limited-edition candle puts Chavarria’s visual stamp on Xinú’s FlordeMusgo, a scent built with lime, cedarwood, tuberose and moss. It will retail for $120 and launch on Sunday.

Chavarria’s version changes the vessel from white to black ceramic and includes a custom Willy Chavarria medallion. FlordeMusgo is one of six candles Xinú offers alongside its eaux de parfum and body care products.

The American designer, who is of Mexican and Irish descent, described a long admiration for the way Xinú fragrances connect with nature and with the spirit and soul of Mexico. He said he hopes the scent carries users into forests and sky.

Chavarria first signaled the project during his spring 2027 show in June, titled “Comunión,” where the FlordeMusgo candle scented the presentation ahead of its November launch.

Chavarria launched his label in 2015, and it has become a rising name in menswear known for blending Chicano culture with social and political commentary. His past collaborations include Ugg, Zara and an ongoing partnership with Adidas.
