Vanaha Gin Launches Buransh Flower Expression, Eyes Travel Retail
Vanaha, the Indian craft gin made at Revelry Distillery in Goa, has introduced a Buransh flower expression and is preparing a debut export market alongside travel retail expansion.
Vanaha Buransh Bagh is billed as the world's first gin made with the Buransh flower, known in the West as rhododendron. The crimson-red blooms are hand-gathered in high-altitude forests of Uttarakhand, the Himalayan state where the flower is the official state tree/flower.
Revelry Distillery, co-founded by CEO Vaniitha Jaiin and her husband Navvin in 2023, produces Vanaha at its site in Goa's Sattari forest. The brand name combines vana, meaning forest, and aha, meaning epiphany.
Vanaha Artisanal Forest Gin was launched in 2025 with a forest-to-bottle positioning. Jaiin described the new Buransh Bagh release as part of the company's continuing effort to work with uncommon Indian botanicals in craft distilling.
Jaiin has described entrepreneurship as the most sustained endurance challenge of her career. She was recently included in The She List, published in India Today's 50th Anniversary Edition, which recognizes 50 Indian women who have built their careers independently; the feature highlighted her as the first Indian woman to create an alcohol distillery.
The company is also pursuing a debut export market and a broader travel retail push, extending Vanaha's reach beyond India.
