Mango tops UK fashion returns policy ranking

A new ranking places Mango as the UK's most returns-friendly fashion retailer, thanks to its 30-day returns window, free drop-off and in-store options, and low-cost home collection. ASOS follows in second place with a score of 75/100.

Mango leads a new ranking of UK fashion retailers' returns policies, scoring highest on factors including length of return window, ease of use and cost. The retailer offers customers 30 days from dispatch to send back orders, with free drop-off or in-store returns and a home collection service for £1.95. An exchange service is also provided, though separate conditions apply to certain products such as its Capsule collection.

The study comes as fashion returns remain a major concern for UK shoppers. Nearly 90% of consumers say a retailer's returns window affects whether they will buy from that retailer again, according to research by Reveni. The new analysis by waste management specialists Bins.co.uk examined how the biggest fashion names compare on policy performance and whether charging for returns can be an environmentally positive step.

ASOS takes second place, scoring 75 out of 100, the research shows. It gives customers several options for sending items back, including InPost and Evri lockers and free collections through Royal Mail.

The report underscores how returns policies have become a competitive differentiator for fashion ecommerce, with retailers balancing customer convenience against efforts to limit the environmental cost of returned goods.
