Wyndham Unveils Dolce Nova, a Boutique Upper-Upscale Spin-Off of Dolce Hotels

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has launched Dolce Nova, a boutique upper-upscale brand extending its meetings-focused Dolce Hotels & Resorts portfolio. It marks the first brand concept to be created in-house by Wyndham's EMEA team.

The new flag sits in the upper-upscale segment and is designed as a boutique companion to Dolce Hotels & Resorts, the meetings-and-events brand Wyndham acquired in 2015. Existing Dolce properties typically run between 200 and 400 rooms and are best known for conferences and corporate gatherings.

The launch was announced in Manchester at the Annual Hospitality Conference. Dolce Nova is the first brand concept to originate from Wyndham's Europe, Middle East, Eurasia and Africa division, a notable detail for a group that has bought rather than built most of its labels.

Dimitris Manikis, Wyndham's president for Europe, the Middle East, Eurasia and Africa, said 20 of the company's 25 brands have come through acquisitions. He argued that extending an existing brand into a new consumer segment is a more efficient route than paying to acquire another one.

Manikis made the comments during the Manchester conference, where the company formally announced the new concept. He framed the move as a way to introduce the Dolce name to a guest base the group has not traditionally courted.

Wyndham has built its reputation scaling budget brands across thousands of properties. Dolce Nova is expected to call for a different operating instinct, one grounded in restraint and design rather than mass replication.
