Travel Retail Consortium to Walk 100km for Macmillan Cancer Support on Halloween
The UK Travel Retail Consortium will undertake a collective 100km Halloween Walk on 31 October to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of the #KickCancerThon campaign.
The UK Travel Retail Consortium (TRC) is throwing its weight behind #KickCancerThon, a global fundraising initiative for cancer research. Members and the wider travel retail community are invited to participate in the Macmillan Cancer Support London Halloween Walk on 31 October, aiming to collectively cover more than 100km.
Participants are encouraged to don Halloween costumes for the walk, with all proceeds going to Macmillan Cancer Support. The charity provides practical, emotional, and financial assistance to people living with cancer.
Donations can be made through the team's JustGiving page, and the TRC is calling on colleagues, friends, and business partners to contribute. The initiative aims to rally the travel retail industry around a common cause.
Additional fundraising will occur during the TRC's annual cocktail evening, hosted by Heineken, on 29 September at the TFWA World Exhibition & Conference in Cannes. The invitation-only event will offer attendees a chance to donate to Macmillan and enter a prize draw.
