The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort, Cancún Opens Its Doors

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has opened The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort in Cancún, a beachfront retreat blending Maya heritage with contemporary design.

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts has announced the opening of The St. Regis Costa Mujeres Resort in Cancún, Mexico. The property is positioned near the historic El Meco archaeological site on the Yucatán Peninsula.

The resort was designed by renowned architectural firm Sordo Madaleno. The structure combines glass and concrete in a composition that follows the natural lines of the coastline.

Interior elements draw inspiration from the region's Maya heritage. Intricate stonework references the nearby ancient Maya port of El Meco, while sculptural lighting nods to the celestial symbolism of Ixchel and Itzamná.

In the lobby, a dramatic chandelier evokes the movement of the Caribbean Sea and the flowing waters of the region's sacred cenotes. Throughout the property, layered materials and artisanal details reflect local craftsmanship.

The resort offers immersive experiences shaped by Caribbean rhythms, blending cultural storytelling and coastal seclusion with St. Regis's signature rituals and bespoke service.
