SpaceX Revenue Doubles to $7.8B in First Post-IPO Quarterly Report

SpaceX reported Q2 2026 revenue of $7.8 billion, up 92% year-over-year, driven by Starlink growth and AI compute deals with Anthropic and Google.

In its first earnings report since going public in June, SpaceX said total sales jumped from $4 billion in the second quarter of 2025 to $7.8 billion in Q2 2026. Nearly $2 billion of that growth came from its AI division, while Starlink revenue added $1.7 billion.

The company narrowed its net loss to $541 million for the quarter, down from $1 billion in the same period last year. CFO Bret Johnsen said Tuesday that SpaceX has an additional $6.7 billion of cloud services revenue under contract, with ramping starting in October.

Johnsen also said he believes that once SpaceX fully integrates AI startup Cursor, it will reach a $100 billion annualized revenue run-rate by the end of this year. For context, the company reported $18.67 billion in revenue for all of 2025.

CEO Elon Musk was more emphatic, saying the $100 billion ARR target in December is "not a question mark" and that it will likely be exceeded even if the company makes no further moves.

Following a successful post-IPO bond sale, SpaceX now holds a $100 billion war chest and shows no signs of slowing its spending.
