Rhode's Sephora Europe debut helps lift E.l.f. Beauty sales 51% to $520.8 million
E.l.f. Beauty posted a 51% net sales increase to $520.8 million for its quarter ended September 30, paced by Rhode's September rollout into 19 European markets through Sephora.
Rhode's September entry into 19 European markets through Sephora drove the quarter, with chief executive Tarang Amin telling analysts on Wednesday's investor call that the launch ranked as the biggest in Sephora's history and was second only to Rhode's US debut last year.
The wholesale order Sephora placed ahead of that rollout, together with momentum across Naturium, E.l.f. Beauty, E.l.f. Skin and new hair-care and fragrance launches, lifted net sales 51% to $520.8 million in the fiscal 2027 second quarter ended September 30. That compares with the 35% and 36% quarterly growth the company reported in May and August.
Chief financial officer Mandy Fields said US net sales rose 25% in the quarter while international net sales climbed 165%.
Fields characterised Europe as a record launch for Rhode, describing it as the largest the retailer has seen apart from the brand's US launch the prior year. She said the company feels good about the sales trends it continues to see on Rhode.
Amin said the group remains bullish on the runway for its wider international business and for further expansion of Hailey Bieber's Rhode, noting that the company is still in the early days of its push outside the US.
