RH Opens Expansive New Gallery in London's Mayfair
RH (Restoration Hardware) has opened a new Gallery at 7 Burlington Gardens in Mayfair, London, spanning five levels with over 5,000 square meters of curated home furnishings, dining, and design services.
The historic townhouse, originally designed in 1721 by Italian-born architect Giacomo Leoni, has been transformed into RH's latest European flagship. The building, once home to nobility and later renamed Uxbridge House, sits across from the Royal Academy of Arts and between the luxury boutiques of New Bond Street and Savile Row.
The five-level gallery encompasses more than 5,000 square meters and includes several distinct experiences. The ground floor features the Architecture & Design Library, the Treasury Restaurant, a Wine Bar, Tea Salon, RH Estates, and the RH Interior Design Studio.
The Interior Design Studio occupies three levels with private client presentation rooms and design libraries, accessed via a separate porticoed entrance on Old Burlington Street. RH Estates continues up the original grand staircase through western state rooms that have remained largely unchanged since the late 18th century.
The second level houses the Perch Bar & Restaurant, the World of RH Lounge by Anouska Hempel, and RH Interiors, while the third floor features RH Outdoor. The gallery also includes a tea salon and wine bar.
“We believe the openings of RH Paris, Milan and London, arguably the three most immersive and inspiring brand experiences anywhere in the world, will form the foundation necessary to earn the respect and recognition of not only the European and UK customer, but a global one,” said Gary Friedman, chairman and CEO. The openings signal RH's commitment to establishing a permanent European presence, with the London gallery described as a testament to decades of craftsmanship.
