Old Pulteney Marks 200 Years With 'Harbour in a Storm' Airport Activations

Old Pulteney's bicentenary campaign pairs its 'Harbour in a Storm' theme with immersive airport experiences and some of the distillery's rarest whiskies in Edinburgh, London and Paris.

The Scotch whisky maker, part of International Beverage, is running the campaign with Avolta at Edinburgh Airport and London Heathrow, while a parallel activation operates at Paris Charles de Gaulle with Extime.

The bicentenary theme draws on the distillery's origins in Wick, Caithness, where it was founded in 1826. Two centuries of positioning around its remote coastal setting and maritime heritage shape the creative, which is carried through experiential pop-ups and digital displays.

At the heart of the showcase are two of the oldest whiskies the distillery has brought to market. The Old Pulteney 50 Years Old, released earlier this year for the 200th anniversary, is limited to 200 bottles worldwide, while the Old Pulteney 30 Years Old has been released in a global run of 1,000 bottles.

Shoppers visiting the activations can also explore the brand's travel retail-exclusive range, which spans 10, 13 and 16 Years Old expressions.

The airport push places the anniversary narrative in front of travelling whisky buyers across three European hubs, combining the rare bottlings with an environment intended to evoke the distillery's stormy coastal home.
