Mulberry Marks London Fashion Week Return With Christopher Kane Debut
Mulberry will return to London Fashion Week for the first time in years on September 20, where creative director Christopher Kane will debut his first women's collection for the British house. The show marks the next phase of the company's turnaround strategy.
Mulberry will take to the London runway on September 20 for what is expected to be creative director Christopher Kane's debut show for the brand. The presentation will feature a women's collection that signals the house's renewed focus on ready-to-wear and British identity.
Kane was appointed to lead the creative direction in March 2026, stepping into a role designed to rebuild Mulberry's fashion credentials after the company exited ready-to-wear in 2020. His work is part of a broader push to restore brand desirability and strengthen the label's position within the luxury market.
The collection unveiled during London Fashion Week is scheduled to reach stores and online channels from January 2027. Because of that timeline, the runway show is less about driving immediate commercial sales and more about reinforcing the creative narrative Mulberry has been developing over the past year.
The British luxury house launched its 'Back to the Mulberry Spirit' turnaround plan in January 2025, following an 18.3 percent decline in group revenue during the 13-week holiday period ended December 28, 2024.
Financial pressures continued into fiscal year 2025, with revenue dropping 21 percent to £120.4 million and the loss before tax widening to £23.7 million. The return to London Fashion Week marks the latest step in the company's effort to rebuild momentum and reposition itself as a fashion-led brand.
