Henkel Opens €45 Million Centralized Warehouse in Düsseldorf

Henkel has inaugurated a €45 million high-bay warehouse at its Düsseldorf headquarters, consolidating five former warehouses across Germany and the Benelux region into one facility.

The new 24,000-square-meter warehouse has a capacity of over 200,000 pallet spaces, making it Henkel's largest consumer goods warehouse in Europe. The investment, equivalent to $52.3 million, follows a two-year planning and construction phase.

Henkel CEO Carsten Knobel stated that the company invests an average of around €100 million annually in its Düsseldorf site, which serves as both its global headquarters and second-largest production and logistics site worldwide.

The facility will centralize distribution of Henkel's laundry, cleaning, and haircare brands, including BlondMe, got2b, and Schwarzkopf. Consolidating five separate warehouses into one streamlines supply chains, shortens transportation distances, and improves sustainability and efficiency.

This move is part of Henkel's broader effort to strengthen its European supply chain logistics and support growth across its consumer business portfolio.
