Gebr. Heinemann Opens Experiential Duty-Free Stores on TUI Cruises' Mein Schiff Flow

Gebr. Heinemann has launched two exclusive duty-free shops, Meine Freude and Mein Glanz, aboard TUI Cruises' newest vessel Mein Schiff Flow, introducing an experience-driven retail concept tailored for the cruise environment.

The stores, Meine Freude and Mein Glanz, were developed as part of a new experiential retail concept centering on the key travel retail trends of experience, activation and personalisation. Meine Freude spans 318 square meters and serves as the larger of the two outlets, while Mein Glanz covers 51 square meters.

The operational handover took place in June following the completion of the new-build vessel. Final commissioning of both stores was completed within two weeks, thanks to close collaboration between the onboard crew and Gebr. Heinemann's headquarters team.

Mein Schiff Flow, the latest vessel in TUI Cruises' InTUItion-class fleet, comprises 19 decks and can accommodate up to 3,984 guests. The Gebr. Heinemann-operated stores were designed to complement the ship's contemporary, relaxed atmosphere, offering a curated product assortment alongside an experience-driven shopping environment.

Gebr. Heinemann is the exclusive retail partner for duty-free operations on the ship, marking a new direction in cruise retail that prioritizes immersive and personalized shopping experiences.
