East Asian Graphics Archive Celebrates Contemporary Design

The East Asian Graphics Archive (EAGA) was launched in 2023 by creatives Makisa Bronson and Melisah Seah as an open-source, community-led project. It aims to celebrate and preserve East Asian visual culture through a curated collection of contemporary graphic design.

The archive features digital art, computer graphics, typography, and print works. Each piece is accompanied by a brief curatorial note and links to the artists' pages, encouraging a more thoughtful viewing experience than typical scrolling.

A notable collection is "Shades of Abundance," curated for Lunar New Year, highlighting the familiar red-and-gold visual language of the holiday. The archive responds to the saturation of minimalist, corporate graphic styles like Corporate Memphis, offering an alternative rooted in playfulness and cultural identity.
