Airports Council International (ACI) World released its annual World Airport Traffic Dataset, confirming the busiest gateways for 2025. Dubai International Airport (DXB) retained its lead in international passenger traffic, serving 95.2 million travelers last year.

Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport again ranked first globally across both international and domestic passengers, with just over 106.3 million. The two were followed by Tokyo Haneda, Dallas Fort Worth, and Shanghai Pudong in the overall top five.

Global air travel reached 9.8 billion passengers in 2025, approaching the 10 billion threshold, according to ACI World. The rankings also covered air cargo volumes and aircraft movements, with the dataset described as the industry’s most comprehensive resource.
