Unilever Lifts Full-Year Outlook After €13.3 Billion Q3 Turnover
Unilever reported third-quarter turnover of 13.3 billion euros, up 6.7 percent year on year, and raised its full-year growth forecast on the back of strength in beauty and personal care.
Underlying sales growth for the quarter reached 5.2 percent, ahead of analyst expectations of 4.8 percent, as the consumer goods group beat sales estimates for the period.
Beauty & Wellbeing turned in 3.5 billion euros of sales, a rise of 5.7 percent, while personal care generated 3.6 billion euros, up 6.3 percent on the prior year. Within Beauty & Wellbeing, hair care advanced by double digits and skin care grew in the mid-single digits, with Dove, Vaseline, Sunsilk, Clear and K18 named as the strongest performers.
The Wellbeing business slipped 1 percent in the quarter. The company described the decline as a deliberate rebalancing of revenue and relative pricing across direct-to-consumer, club, pure-play online and omnichannel routes to market. Performance among individual wellness brands was mixed: Liquid I.V. and Olly both grew year to date, while Nutrafol fell back as measures to improve customer acquisition remain at an early stage.
Grüns, acquired earlier this year, delivered strong growth in its first full quarter under Unilever's ownership and is due to enter the company's underlying sales growth measure next June.
On the strength of the quarter, the U.K.-headquartered group lifted its full-year guidance and now projects volume growth of at least 3 percent for 2026.
