DPT Antwerp scales travel retail to 118 doors as CEO stresses craft consistency
Antwerp-based jewellery house DPT Antwerp has grown its travel retail footprint by 38% year-on-year to 118 points of sale, with co-founder and CEO Edward Verté saying expansion must go hand in hand with craftsmanship and consistency.
The Antwerp-based diamond jewellery house now operates 118 points of sale across airports, cruise ships and inflight retail, a 38% increase year-on-year. Co-founder and CEO Edward Verté identified further growth opportunities in the Middle East, Asia Pacific, Africa and Latin America.
Verté said that cracking new markets is not simply about adding storefronts. He emphasised that growth only has value if each location maintains the same craft standards, and that stock depth, visual merchandising and well-trained staff are as important as securing the space itself.
The brand is also turning more attention to personalised retail experiences, while tracking an evolving conversation among consumers around natural diamonds. Positioned as an accessible natural diamond jewellery label, DPT Antwerp aims to make diamond buying feel like a regular, enjoyable part of travel retail.
Its stated approach is captured in the phrase “a diamond day, everyday”, underscoring the company’s ambition to bring diamond jewellery into everyday travel moments even as it scales internationally.
