Coperni Wins Court Approval to Continue Under Receivership
A Paris court has granted French fashion label Coperni permission to continue operating under receivership protection, its president announced.
The decision, confirmed by Coperni president Arnaud Vaillant, places the brand under receivership protection, allowing it to maintain operations while restructuring. The court ruling represents a lifeline for the label, which has faced financial difficulties.
Receivership, known as "redressement judiciaire" in French law, is a legal procedure designed to help struggling companies reorganise their debts and preserve jobs. Under this status, Coperni will operate under court supervision while seeking a path to financial recovery.
The brand, founded in 2013 by Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant, is known for its innovative, tech-infused designs including the viral Swipe bag and collaborations with robotics companies. The court's approval ensures the label can continue its activities during the restructuring period.
