Chinese Fund HSG Acquires Majority Stake in Golden Goose

Chinese investment firm HSG has completed its acquisition of a majority stake in Golden Goose, with the transaction receiving all necessary regulatory approvals. The deal, first announced in December 2025, also includes Temasek and True Light Capital as minority shareholders.

The transaction, whose financial terms were not disclosed, sees Permira remain a strategic minority shareholder. CEO Silvio Campara will continue to lead the brand alongside the current management team.

Marco Bizzarri, a non-executive board member since April 2024, has been appointed non-executive chairman. The former Kering CEO is expected to play a central role in the brand's development and innovation strategy.

Golden Goose has experienced strong growth, with revenue rising from €266 million in fiscal 2020 to €734 million in 2025. The positive trend continued into the first quarter of 2025, with revenue up 10% year over year to €173.2 million, driven by solid performance across all regions.

The brand has expanded its direct-to-consumer network to 232 stores across EMEA, the Americas, and APAC.
