Chapter Chianti Opens as Latest Luxury Resort in Tuscany
Chapter Chianti, a restored 17th-century borgo spanning 50 hectares of vineyards and olive groves, has opened in Tuscany's Chianti region as the second property in the Chapter Italia portfolio.
Developed by Marco Cilia following the success of Chapter Roma, the resort is set within a meticulously restored original borgo. The 50-hectare estate includes vineyards, olive groves, and landscaped gardens.
Acclaimed interiors architect Tristan du Plessis conceived the design, balancing contemporary aesthetics with respect for the site's history. Original stone staircases and vaulted ceilings have been preserved, while local stone, marble, handcrafted furniture from nearby artisans, and custom lighting from DCW Editions and Marset define the interiors.
The culinary program is led by Chef Daniele Auricchio, a Neapolitan-born chef with Michelin-starred experience. The signature restaurant, Osso—meaning 'bone' in Italian—focuses on Tuscan meat-centric traditions, regional produce, and locally sourced cheeses and ingredients from the surrounding countryside.
