Beymen Opens New Flagship Store in Istanbul at Tersane
Turkey's leading luxury retailer Beymen has opened a flagship store at Tersane, a redeveloped historic shipyard zone, spanning 12,000 sqm.
The new flagship occupies a series of interconnected shipyard halls in Tersane, a historic industrial zone that once housed the Ottoman imperial arsenal. The premises were designed by Dutch architecture practice OMA, featuring freestanding structures within the existing buildings.
Tersane is located in the Camiikebir neighbourhood along the Golden Horn. The vast harbour-side plot has been transformed into a contemporary residential, cultural, and shopping zone.
Beymen manages no less than 36 department stores and branded standalone boutiques in Istanbul alone. The opening of this flagship reinforces the retailer's strong presence in its home market.
