Beauty Brands Embrace Experiential Marketing in June Campaigns
Beauty brands shifted from traditional advertising to experiential, creator-led, and community-driven campaigns in June 2026, with highlights including Laura Geller’s nostalgic Grease-themed promotion featuring actress Didi Conn.
June 2026 saw a wave of beauty marketing that prioritized participation over promotion, as brands like e.l.f. Beauty, MAC Cosmetics, NYX Professional Makeup, TRESemmé, Florence by Mills, Laura Geller Beauty, and Sincerely Yours launched campaigns tapping into sports, nostalgia, immersive experiences, and community storytelling.
Laura Geller Beauty enlisted actress Didi Conn, known for her role as Frenchie in the film Grease, for a nostalgic campaign promoting its new Full Root-ine Hair & Brow Concealing Cream + Powder. The campaign reimagines the movie's iconic Beauty School Dropout scene, with Conn delivering a playful Beauty Service Announcement encouraging easy at-home root touch-ups and brow coverage.
Other brands also leaned into cultural relevance: e.l.f. Beauty and NYX Professional Makeup focused on women's sports partnerships, while TRESemmé and Florence by Mills engaged creators and communities through festivals and immersive retail pop-ups. MAC Cosmetics continued its push into social-driven storytelling.
The collective shift underscores a broader industry move away from conventional advertising toward deeper, more interactive consumer engagement. Purpose-driven partnerships and nostalgia marketing proved effective tools for building emotional connections.
