Annick Goutal Returns to U.S. Stores With Exclusive Bloomingdale's Rollout

Annick Goutal is re-entering the U.S. market through an exclusive Bloomingdale's launch built around 10 fragrances, three of them new, following Interparfums SA's 2025 acquisition of the Maison Goutal intellectual property rights from Amorepacific Europe.

The French niche fragrance house will be sold exclusively at Bloomingdale's in the United States, with a 10-scent assortment that includes three new compositions alongside established lines.

Annick Goutal, a former pianist and model, founded the Paris-based brand that carries her name in 1981, building its reputation in the niche fragrance segment with scents such as L'Eau d'Hadrien. She died of cancer in 1999. Amorepacific acquired the Goutal brand from Starwood Capital in 2011, and Interparfums SA later took over the intellectual property rights for Maison Goutal from Amorepacific Europe in 2025 for an undisclosed sum.

The relaunch is being handled by Interparfums Luxury Brands, the U.S. division of Interparfums SA. Matthieu Sucheyre, the unit's director of education and events, said the team wanted to honor the house's history by retaining its historical scents while strengthening the storytelling around them.

Pierre Desaulles, chief executive officer of Interparfums Luxury Brands, said the Bloomingdale's partnership was the outgrowth of that approach, describing an ambition to present Goutal's heritage in a visually distinct and immersive retail space. He called the department store an ideal partner for the vision, citing both its platform and its audience.

The U.S. comeback places the brand back on American shelves under new ownership, roughly 14 years after Amorepacific took control and after Interparfums SA consolidated the Maison Goutal rights in 2025.
