Raeso Launches Circadian Skincare Line Based on Nobel-Winning Science

Beauty veteran Katey Mandy has founded Raeso, a skincare brand that aligns products with the skin's natural 24-hour cycle, drawing on circadian biology research and New Zealand botanicals.

The brand's approach is backed by published research, including white papers and a study in the Journal of Cosmetic Science conducted with DNA repair scientist Daniel B. Yarosh. That research showed that skin penetration is significantly faster at night, and visible improvement is greater from evening use compared to morning application.

Raeso's products are formulated to support defense during the day and repair at night, engineered to work when the skin is most receptive. This circadian alignment is rooted in Nobel Prize-winning discoveries about biological rhythms, which the brand argues have been largely ignored by the skincare industry.

Underpinning the formulas are New Zealand botanicals that evolved under some of the world's harshest UV conditions, giving them innate resilience. Founder Katey Mandy, a New Zealand-born beauty industry veteran, developed the line to treat the skin as an intelligent biological system rather than a static surface.

The brand published white papers to advance the scientific conversation and avoid accusations of science-washing. Mandy noted that consumers already track sleep and wear wellness devices, prompting the question of why skincare is not similarly timed to the body's natural cycles.

Raeso represents a new generation of biologically aligned skincare, aiming to work with the skin's rhythm rather than against it. The launch comes as demand grows for personalized, science-driven beauty products.
