Perfumer H and Dongliang Team Up on Shanghai-Inspired Magnolia Scent
Perfumer H has created Magnolia Tree, a new fragrance developed exclusively with Chinese multibrand retailer Dongliang. The scent celebrates the magnolia flower that defines Shanghai’s springtime.
Lyn Harris, founder of Perfumer H, sees Shanghai’s spring magnolia in terms of "sherbet whiteness," an ivory tone that colors the city’s atmosphere this time of year. That quality is at the heart of Magnolia Tree, the label’s newest fragrance.
Created exclusively for Chinese multibrand retailer Dongliang, the eau de parfum pairs green notes of Sicily lemon, green conifer, sandalwood, French juniper and white musk. A candle version shifts focus to the tree itself, delivering a brighter, airier feel.
Magnolia Tree will be sold at Dongliang stores and Perfumer H outposts worldwide. A weeklong pop-up opened Wednesday at Dongliang Maison’s courtyard tea house to celebrate the collaboration.
