Marriott Links Booking System Directly to Spotnana for Corporate Travelers
Marriott has opened a direct connection between its central reservation system and Spotnana, allowing business travelers to book its more than 10,000 hotels at the same real-time rates, inventory and room content shown on Marriott's own site and app.
The connection, announced Thursday, closes a gap that had long frustrated the hotel group: its loyalty data could not previously be surfaced inside the corporate booking portals that companies require employees to use.
Under the arrangement, business travelers gain access to the same live rates, inventory and room content that Marriott displays on its own website and app, covering a portfolio of more than 10,000 hotels.
Travelers can link their Bonvoy accounts to their Spotnana profiles, so the corporate booking tool recognizes their loyalty status and activity while they shop for work trips.
Bonvoy is Marriott's primary draw for business travelers, who value earning points on work travel that they can later redeem for vacation stays. Marriott holds the largest footprint of any hotel loyalty program.
According to the company, that scale can tip a decision when a traveler is weighing roughly similar hotels. Until the Spotnana integration, outdated technology prevented Marriott from presenting any of that loyalty information within corporate booking tools.
