Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra Opens in Mallorca

Mandarin Oriental has opened its third Spanish property, the 131-key Punta Negra resort on Mallorca's southwest coast, blending contemporary design with the island's natural beauty.

The hotel, located in Calvià near the exclusive Puerto Portals marina, is the brand's third property in Spain, following Mandarin Oriental, Barcelona and Mandarin Oriental Ritz, Madrid. The site originally housed the historic Hotel Punta Negra and is surrounded by Aleppo pine trees, secluded coves, and sweeping Mediterranean views.

Mandarin Oriental Punta Negra offers 131 elegantly appointed rooms and suites, a wellness sanctuary, and multiple dining destinations. Guests can arrive via an exclusive private yacht transfer service. The resort also features an art pathway connecting galleries and site-specific installations, as well as access to world-class golf courses and scenic cycling routes.

The transformation preserves the spirit of the original hotel while introducing a contemporary vision that harmonizes with the Mediterranean landscape and local heritage.
