Lanvin Group H1 Revenue Falls 13% as Turnaround Measures Take Hold
Shanghai-headquartered Lanvin Group reported a 13% year-on-year decline in first-half revenue to €101 million, even as the company cited improving momentum and expanded gross margins.
The group's store network was trimmed to 151 directly operated locations as part of an ongoing strategic optimisation of its retail footprint. Management framed the revenue drop as a reflection of brand transformation efforts rather than weakening demand.
Gross profit reached €59 million, lifting the gross margin to 59% from 57.7% a year earlier. The improvement was driven by stronger sell-through, more effective product lifecycle management, and supply chain efficiencies across Lanvin, Wolford, and St John.
Contribution profit narrowed to a €9 million loss, a €10 million improvement from the prior-year period, while adjusted EBITDA margin rose 10.7 percentage points. Group e-commerce returned to growth during the half.
Among individual brands, Lanvin posted like-for-like gains across boutiques and a well-received FW26 Paris runway show. Wolford showed resilient trading with gross margin expansion to 60%, while Sergio Rossi saw early wholesale momentum. St John continued its strong run, with e-commerce up 31% in its reporting currency and a stable 70% gross margin.
