L’Oréal Travel Retail and Avolta sign circularity roadmap targeting 10% refill formats by 2030

L’Oréal Travel Retail and Avolta have formalised a sustainability-linked business plan covering refillable beauty and lower supply chain emissions across international travel hubs. The agreement, signed at the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes, is anchored by an ambition of 10% refill formats by 2030.

The joint plan sets out an operational roadmap intended to reduce the environmental footprint of logistics and to scale up circular solutions in travel retail, with refillable beauty placed at the centre of the effort.

The two partners describe the arrangement as a strategic roadmap to optimise operational impact, translating shared sustainability commitments into measurable operational steps.

Under the agreement, the companies aim for refill formats to account for 10% of the mix by 2030, with activity spread across international travel hubs.

Eva Yu, President of L’Oréal Travel Retail, said the partnership would expand refillable beauty and lower the logistics footprint across key travel hubs, converting shared commitments into measurable operational steps.

The plan was signed during the TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes last week, where travel retail brands and operators gather to set out commercial and sustainability priorities for the year ahead.

The roadmap covers both emissions reduction in the supply chain and the scaling of circular solutions across airports and other international travel locations.
