Justin Boxford Leaves Estée Lauder Cos. After Two Decades

Justin Boxford, global president of Estée Lauder Cos.' luxury beauty brands, is leaving the company after more than 20 years to take up a new opportunity. No successor has been named.

Boxford, who joined the New York-based beauty group in 2004, was appointed to the expanded luxury portfolio role in September. That remit covered La Mer, Estée Lauder, Aerin, Darphin Paris and Lab Series.

He had previously led La Mer from 2017 to 2022 before moving across to Estée Lauder, and his September promotion brought the marine-skincare label back under his remit alongside the wider luxury stable.

The departure was communicated internally by Jane Hertzmark Hudis, executive vice president and chief brand officer, who said the company was deeply grateful for his dedication, commitment and service across two decades.

Hertzmark Hudis credited Boxford with bringing a strong global perspective and an understanding of the luxury consumer, alongside a passion for brand building. She said he had helped advance digital and omnichannel capabilities, elevate luxury brand experiences, deepen consumer engagement and deliver local relevance in markets around the world.

The company has yet to identify who will take over the luxury beauty brands portfolio.
