Jil Sander Appoints Marco Viganò as Chief Executive

Jil Sander, part of the OTB Group, has named Marco Viganò as its new chief executive, effective Tuesday. He reports to OTB Group CEO Ubaldo Minelli, who ran the brand on an interim basis during the transition.

Viganò assumed the top job on Tuesday and reports directly to OTB Group chief executive Ubaldo Minelli, who had led Jil Sander on an interim basis while the group searched for a permanent appointment.

Minelli described Jil Sander as a brand with a rich creative heritage and a distinctive identity that make it unique in the global luxury landscape.

Viganò holds a degree in Economics and Business from the Catholic University of Milan. He joins from Moncler, where he served as global chief client officer and president for EMEA, leading client development and customer experience strategies aimed at deepening the relationship between the brand and its international clientele.

Across his career he has held commercial and operational leadership roles at several large luxury names, including chief commercial officer at Audemars Piguet and chief operating officer at Saint Laurent, as well as positions at Louis Vuitton, Gucci and L'Oréal.

His international experience spans Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Russia, and includes earlier work at McKinsey & Company.

Jil Sander operates as part of the OTB Group, the Italian fashion group that also houses several other labels.
