Harrods Buying Chief Praises Lighter Menswear, Highlights Celine, Givenchy and Dior from Paris Fashion Week

Simon Longland, Harrods' director of fashion buying, named Celine as his standout show from Paris Fashion Week menswear, also citing Givenchy and Dior as key collections that captured a lighter, confident mood.

Simon Longland, the director of fashion buying at London’s upscale department store Harrods, has singled out Celine as the top show from the recent men’s collections in Paris. He noted that the brand’s presentation “captured the mood of the season with confidence and clarity.”

Alongside Celine, Longland highlighted Givenchy and Dior as other significant collections from the Paris runway. The executive observed a prevailing trend toward lighter-weight fabrics and a more relaxed silhouette across many designer offerings.

The Paris menswear season, held in June, showcased spring/summer 2025 lines from major luxury houses. Longland’s comments offer a glimpse into the preferences of a key global retailer, influencing which brands may receive prominent placement on Harrods’ sales floor.

Harrods, a landmark luxury destination, attracts affluent shoppers from around the world, making its buyers’ endorsements closely watched by the fashion industry. The store’s buying decisions often reflect broader market shifts toward comfort and wearability in men’s luxury fashion.
