H. Moser & Cie. Launches Off-Grid, a Limited-Edition Smartwatch Without Notifications
H. Moser & Cie. has introduced the Off-Grid, a limited-edition 42.6mm Swiss digital watch that blends traditional watchmaking with smartwatch technology. The model omits common notifications and comes in two versions powered by a new D10 calibre developed with Sequent.
The Off-Grid sits between a conventional watch and a modern smartwatch, using connected technology while removing features such as message alerts, inactivity prompts and app notifications. It is housed in a 42.6mm case and shares visual cues with Moser's Streamliner collection, including an integrated case, rubber strap, a slightly domed sapphire crystal and the brand's fumé finish.
Two limited editions are available. One pairs a blue PVD-treated steel case with a Blackor fumé dial and a white rubber strap. The other uses a black PVD case, a Red fumé dial and a black rubber strap.
Inside is the new D10 calibre, developed with Swiss smartwatch company Sequent specifically for Moser. Rather than concealing the electronics behind a black screen, Moser has integrated them into the watch's architecture.
Traditional hands continue to show hours and minutes. A small fumé dial at 12 o'clock carries the Moser logo, while a digital display at 6 o'clock handles almost everything else.
Functions include GMT with a country selector covering every time zone, a split-seconds chronograph accurate to 1/100th of a second, a perpetual calendar, a timer and a vibrating alarm. The watch can also calculate sunrise and sunset times and includes a perpetual moon phase that updates every hour.
