Frankfurt Airport video spotlights Terminal 3’s blend of art, retail and dining

Fraport has released a video featuring artist Tobias Rehberger and senior executives exploring how architecture, art, retail and dining shape the passenger experience at Frankfurt Airport’s new Terminal 3.

Fraport published the video on 4 September, presenting a guided tour of Terminal 3 with artist Tobias Rehberger, Senior Executive Vice President of Retail & Real Estate Dr Babett Stapel, and Senior Executive Vice President of Aviation Alexander Laukenmann.

The discussion focuses on the terminal’s design concept and the passenger-centred thinking behind it. Terminal 3 opened in April.

Fraport said it aims to turn time spent at the airport into a more valuable part of the journey. A recent passenger survey suggests the approach is resonating with travellers.

According to the study, 87% of respondents viewed Terminal 3 positively and said it met their expectations for a modern, attractive airport terminal.

Travellers most frequently praised the building’s design, the quality of the experience and the overall atmosphere. The survey also found that design and ambience are important factors when passengers assess the retail and dining offer.
