Four Seasons Resort Bali at Sayan Reveals Seven Renovated Suites

Seven suites have been reworked at the riverside property, with interiors created alongside design firm Hirsch Bedner Associates (HBA). The refresh keeps the resort's suspended rice-bowl architecture and its longstanding relationship with the surrounding landscape at the centre of the guest experience.

Hand-loomed textiles and locally crafted Balinese details feature throughout. Each suite takes its colour direction from the view beyond its windows, using pale, earthy tones drawn from Ubud's rice terraces and grounded with dark-stained teak.

The Premier Duplex Suite spans two levels and 85 sq m (900 sq ft), aimed at couples seeking more space. A light-washed dining and living area opens to full-height river views, leading up to a bedroom layered in teak and hand-loomed fabric. A private sun terrace adds an outdoor setting for mornings and evenings, with the river valley as the backdrop.

The Premier Family Suite is built around a dedicated kids' room, conceived as a space made for younger guests rather than retrofitted for them. It sits in the resort's main building, a short walk from the restaurants and the Sacred River Spa, and combines a large living area with wide views across the river valley.

Floor-to-ceiling glazing is a common thread across the new rooms, framing the Ayung River valley and reinforcing the property's blurred boundary between nature and architecture.
