Danieli, Venezia, A Four Seasons Hotel Opens After Restoration
The iconic Danieli hotel on Venice's Riva degli Schiavoni has officially reopened as a Four Seasons property, featuring 120 rooms and suites with views of the lagoon and San Giorgio Maggiore.
The reopening marks the fourth Four Seasons hotel in Italy and a new chapter for the historic palace complex. The property comprises three buildings, including Palazzo Dandolo, built in 1471 as a residence for the noble Dandolo family, and later joined by Casa Nuova and Danieli Excelsior.
Renowned interior designer Pierre-Yves Rochon led the renovation of Palazzo Dandolo and Casa Nuova, preserving the Venetian Gothic architecture while introducing a contemporary vision. Many guest rooms feature theatrical curtain-style reveals that open onto sweeping lagoon views.
The hotel currently operates 120 rooms and suites, with capacity set to expand to 168 once the restoration of Palazzo Danieli Excelsior is completed in 2027. The rooftop terrace offers views across the water to San Giorgio Maggiore, adding to the property's appeal as a luxury destination.
