Coty Q1 revenue slips 1% as six core Prestige brands return to growth

Coty reported a 1% year-on-year decline in first-quarter net revenue to US$1.56 billion, while its six core Prestige brands collectively grew 5% and Asia travel retail provided a bright spot.

The beauty group said net revenue for the quarter ended 30 September fell 1% year on year, or 2% like-for-like, to US$1.56 billion. Its six core Prestige brands — Burberry, Hugo Boss, Calvin Klein, Marc Jacobs, Chloé and Kylie Cosmetics — posted combined sales growth of 5% and represented 73% of Prestige sales in the quarter.

Those brands moved from a 6% like-for-like decline in the first half of fiscal 2026 to 5% like-for-like growth in the first quarter, with five of the six growing and combined sell-out returning to growth, according to Coty.

Markus Strobel, executive chairman and interim chief executive, said the Coty.Curated framework was beginning to deliver results as the company concentrated more investment behind its top six core Prestige brands.

Coty said its first-half launches, including BOSS Bottled Beyond for Her, Burberry Goddess Amber Vanilla, Mood Stones by Kylie Jenner and Marc Jacobs Beauty makeup, were resonating with consumers and tracking ahead of plan.

The Coty.Curated strategic framework focuses investment on core brands and markets while reducing portfolio complexity and simplifying the organisation. Asia travel retail was also cited as a bright spot in the quarter.
