Models walked the Beijing Fashion Week catwalk carrying the ASUS Zenbook 14 2026 AI ultra-thin laptop, a machine finished in what the company calls "high-tech ceramic aluminum." The presentation set the device's sleek surface against the tactile quality of natural fabrics, creating a contrast between textiles and hardware.

The collection came from designer Wang Dong, whose work emphasises weaving, splicing and traditional handcraft techniques. The result was a dialogue between that craftsmanship and cutting-edge AI hardware, with the laptop treated as part of the look rather than a prop.

The device itself weighs 1.2kg and comes in nature-inspired colourways. It runs on Intel's third-gen Core Ultra 7 processor, positioned as the "invisible" computing power behind modern creative work.

According to the source material, the appearance reflects a wider shift among global youth and Gen Z: gadgets are no longer purely productivity tools but are treated as statement pieces, status symbols and extensions of lifestyle.
