Asia Sweeps Top Spots in 2026 Global Skyline Ranking
Seven of the world's top ten skylines are in Asia, with Shenzhen taking the number one spot, according to a new ranking by Radical Storage.
The luggage storage platform Radical Storage analyzed the top 100 cities worldwide, evaluating nighttime visibility, building density, and the number of skyscrapers over 150 meters. Shenzhen topped the list with a score of 7.1 out of 10, boasting 679 high-rises, 22 of which exceed 300 meters.
Other Asian cities in the top ten include Hong Kong (3rd), Wuhan (5th), Guangzhou (6th), Shanghai (7th), Kuala Lumpur (8th), Tokyo and Chongqing (joint 9th). Chinese cities alone account for 60% of the top ten.
Kuala Lumpur's skyline is highlighted by landmarks such as Merdeka 118 and the Petronas Twin Towers, while Tokyo's nighttime visibility earned it a top spot. The ranking underscores Asia's dominance in modern urban architecture.
