Vietnam Duty Free reports strong early sales at Noi Bai airport stores
Vietnam Duty Free says its newly opened shops at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi are drawing encouraging consumer response and sales. The retailer opened the stores with an inauguration on 15 October.
The new outlets sit in Terminal 2's west and east wings, with the west-wing zone presented as a pioneering walk-through shopping experience for Vietnamese travel retail. Vietnam Duty Free positions itself as "The National Duty Free of Vietnam."
Later this year the retailer plans to open a large space immediately after central security, in an area previously occupied by Empire Duty Free.
The stores carry a broad mix of international and local goods, spanning liquor, tobacco, perfumes, travel essentials, fashion accessories, watches, toys, and food and confectionery.
The company described the 15 October inauguration as a milestone day for both the business and the country. The open, elegant store design is intended to showcase the diversity of the product range.
