Tom Ford Fashion Adds Three U.S. Boutiques in California and Florida
Tom Ford Fashion has opened three directly operated stores in San Diego, Costa Mesa and Bal Harbour, lifting its U.S. retail network as the brand's chief executive calls America a key growth engine.
The new locations are in San Diego and Costa Mesa, California, and Bal Harbour, Florida. The Costa Mesa boutique opened on Wednesday on the rotunda in Jewel Court at South Coast Plaza and carries the full men's and women's offer, spanning ready-to-wear, leather goods, fragrance, beauty, eyewear and underwear.
The openings bring the brand's U.S. directly operated store count to 16, up from 13 before the trio launched. Globally, Tom Ford Fashion now runs 67 directly operated stores.
"The U.S. is a key market for Tom Ford Fashion and an important engine of our growth," chief executive officer Lelio Gavazza said, adding that the strength of the business comes from a distinctive brand, a loyal and highly engaged client base and the continued evolution of its men's and women's collections.
The Estée Lauder Cos. is the sole owner of the Tom Ford brand, which the namesake designer founded in 2005. Long-term licenses cover apparel through the Ermenegildo Zegna Group and eyewear through Italy's Marcolin group.
Zegna Group sales rose 6.4 percent to 987.3 million euros in the first half, or 9.3 percent on an organic basis. Tom Ford Fashion contributed revenues of 156.8 million euros, up 2.7 percent year over year.
Zegna credited its retail-first model and direct customer engagement for the performance, with the Americas delivering solid growth.
