Loro Piana Opens Two-Floor Boutique on Vienna’s Kohlmarkt

Loro Piana has moved its Vienna boutique to Kohlmarkt 6, opening a two-floor store that combines the Italian brand’s heritage with a warm, residential feel.

The Italian luxury label’s new address is Kohlmarkt 6, replacing its former Kohlmarkt 60 site, keeping it on one of Vienna’s most desirable and high-traffic shopping streets. The boutique opened last week.

The interior references Loro Piana’s history and the legacy of Sergio Loro Piana, reinterpreted through a classic yet contemporary design. The store is intended to feel welcoming and domestic rather than purely formal.

Textured materials, silk rugs, raffia and silk wall coverings emphasise the brand’s focus on tactility and surface quality. The design also incorporates carefully selected vintage pieces.

The main entrance opens into women’s accessories, where vintage coffee tables and console tables are displayed alongside armchairs upholstered in fabrics from Loro Piana Interiors. Adjacent rooms house women’s ready-to-wear and footwear, while a staircase leads to the first floor for the men’s collection.

Loro Piana has been part of the LVMH group since 2013. The Vienna relocation maintains the brand’s presence in the Austrian capital at a sought-after luxury retail location.
