Augustinus Bader Opens Three-Room Spa at The Mark on Manhattan's Upper East Side

The prestige skincare brand's first spa inside The Mark will offer facials, red light therapy, medical-grade compression boots and a hyperbaric chamber across three treatment cabins when it opens in mid-November.

The space, described by cofounder and chief executive officer Charles Rosier as a "cocoon within the Upper East Side," is designed around three cabins rather than a conventional treatment floor: one dedicated to the face, one to the body and a third housing a hyperbaric chamber reserved for post-treatment and post-procedure recovery.

The service menu leans on devices as much as hands-on care, combining state-of-the-art facials with red light therapy and medical-grade compression boots. The brand positions the offering as holistic, linking mind and body rather than focusing on performance-driven results.

Interiors follow the same restrained direction, built from natural materials and neutral tones. "Every detail has been carefully considered to create an atmosphere of style, comfort and discretion — an experience that feels distinctly The Mark," said Elon Kenchington, managing director of The Mark.

Rosier framed the project as a departure from the standard hotel spa format. "We wanted to create not just a normal spa but an experience," he said, adding that the setting is "not a performance place."

The spa sits inside The Mark hotel on Manhattan's Upper East Side, a neighbourhood the brand explicitly names as its target clientele. Opening is slated for mid-November, with the source also indicating services begin at the end of November.
