Lagardère Travel Retail Wins Five-Store Bristol Airport Concession

Lagardère Travel Retail UK & Ireland has secured a long-term contract to run five stores totalling nearly 750sq m at Bristol Airport, with the first openings phased from summer 2027.

The concession covers three Relay outlets co-branded with Waitrose & Partners, a Tech2Go technology store and a dedicated bookstore, spread across both airside and landside locations at the airport.

The largest unit will be a 362sq m Relay/Waitrose & Partners shop in the departure lounge, stocking books, news and magazines, snacks, souvenirs and food to go. The tie-up marks the first time Waitrose food to go — including sandwiches, wraps and salads — will be available at Bristol Airport.

The award sits within Bristol Airport's £400 million (US$536 million) transformation programme, which is reshaping the site's commercial space.

The contract extends Lagardère Travel Retail's travel essentials footprint in the UK and Ireland, following Relay's recent British debut at London Heathrow Terminal 2. It also broadens the retailer's existing partnership with Waitrose.

Openings will be staggered, with the first stores due to launch from summer 2027.
