Konckier Family Acquires German Perfumery Chain Stadtparfümerie Pieper

The Konckier family, reference shareholders of French beauty group Bogart, has acquired 100% of German perfumery chain Stadtparfümerie Pieper, which operates more than 110 stores across Germany.

The acquisition brings together two family-run businesses in the European beauty retail sector. Stadtparfümerie Pieper was founded in 1931 as a small soap shop in Bochum, Germany, by Anna Pieper and her son Gerhard. It has since grown to over 110 locations and an e-commerce operation, carrying brands such as Chanel, Estée Lauder, and Lancôme. The retailer was led into its fourth generation by Dr. Oliver Pieper and Torsten Pieper.

The Konckier family are reference shareholders of Bogart Group, a French family-owned company founded in 1975 and listed on Euronext Paris. Bogart specializes in designing, producing, and distributing perfumes and cosmetics, with divisions for fragrances and cosmetics as well as beauty retail, the latter operating more than 450 selective perfumeries and drugstores.

In November 2024, Parfümerie Pieper entered into self-administered restructuring, paving the way for the acquisition. The deal aligns with Bogart Group’s ambition to build Europe’s fourth-largest perfumery network.
