IHG has signed an agreement to open InterContinental Vilamoura – Algarve in Portugal, marking the fourth InterContinental property in the country. The resort is expected to debut in 2027.
IHG has announced the signing of InterContinental Vilamoura – Algarve in Vilamoura, Portugal, in partnership with HDP Algarve SA. The new resort is scheduled to open in 2027.
The signing reinforces the Algarve's position as a top luxury resort destination in Southern Europe and builds on IHG's strategy to expand its Luxury & Lifestyle portfolio in Portugal. The country is one of IHG's fastest-growing emerging markets in Southern Europe, driven by strong year-round leisure and city-break demand.
InterContinental Vilamoura – Algarve will be the fourth InterContinental property in Portugal, joining InterContinental Cascais-Estoril, Hotel Indigo Albufeira, Kimpton Atlântico Algarve, and Six Senses Douro Valley.
