European Technology Network expands to five-day live show after $1.6M seed round

Launched last October by Luke Knight and Ronan Chambers, the European Technology Network originally streamed two days a week on X and YouTube, covering tech trends and news. The show has since garnered more than 5 million views.

On Monday, the network announced a $1.6 million seed round from Powerhouse Capital, Axel Springer SE (owner of Business Insider and Politico), a co-founder of LADbible, and angel investors from OpenAI and DeepMind. The funding will fuel ETN's largest expansion yet.

Starting July 27, the live show will run five days a week, from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. UK time, breaking down trending stories. A two-hour guest segment will follow, with upcoming guests including Sequoia partner George Robson and former UK Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

ETN is also moving into a larger studio in London's Kings Cross area, expanding its team from eight, and launching a newsletter. The network positions itself as a European answer to US-style tech talk shows.
