e.l.f. Beauty Expands Board Diversity Push With Third Cohort
e.l.f. Beauty has launched the third cohort of its Change the Board Game initiative, placing 22 executives in corporate board training to boost representation of women and people of color.
The beauty brand announced the latest cycle of its National Association of Corporate Directors program, which now includes 22 executives—the largest group since the initiative began in 2024.
Change the Board Game aims to increase diversity on U.S. public company boards. Sub-campaigns include “Serving Facts,” which highlights the underrepresentation of women, and “So Many Dicks,” a billboard series in New York’s financial district that contrasted the number of male directors named Richard, Rick, or Dick (566) with the total number of Hispanic women on boards (283).
Additionally, e.l.f. published “The Not So White Paper,” linking boardroom diversity to corporate performance. The company also applies its mission internally, maintaining a diverse board of its own.
The expansion comes as beauty companies face pressure to demonstrate social responsibility beyond products.
