Alexander McQueen to return to London Fashion Week for spring/summer 2027
Alexander McQueen will showcase its spring/summer 2027 collection on the official London Fashion Week schedule in September, marking creative director Seán McGirr's first London show for the house.
The move returns the house to its founding city after many seasons showing in Paris. Alexander McQueen was founded by Lee Alexander McQueen in 1992 and began on the London Fashion Week schedule before relocating to Paris.
The brand previously returned to London for off-schedule shows in October 2021 and October 2022. The 2021 show featured a transparent bubble dome atop a car park in East London, while the spring/summer 2023 show took place at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich.
Gianfranco D’Attis, who became chief executive earlier this month, said: “Bringing McQueen back to London Fashion Week is a meaningful moment for the house. London is where our story began and remains central to our identity.”
D’Attis added that the brand is reaffirming its commitment to the British Fashion Council and London’s creative ecosystem. Laura Weir, CEO of the British Fashion Council, noted that seeing Alexander McQueen return to London Fashion Week was an early ambition of hers.
