House Backs AM Radio Mandate for New Cars, Sending Bill to Senate

The House of Representatives overwhelmingly approved the AM Radio for Every Vehicle Act on Wednesday, a bipartisan measure that would require automakers to install AM radio as standard equipment in new cars, trucks and SUVs at no extra cost to buyers. The bill now moves to the Senate.
